Went running during my lunch break today.

Two years ago, I ran a half marathon with my brother.

Last year, a marathon.

This year, I’ve really only gone running maybe 10 times. I think it’s like going to the gym: easy to do on a schedule when you’re in the groove of doing so.

Running for fun was something I always scoffed at.

“Who wants to just run, anyway?” I used to think.

What I found was running for fun is something that’s incredibly rewarding, relaxing, and gets you in a good state of mind.

Think it’s important that I do go running from time to time. I typically just work throughout my lunch, because that’s the kind of person I am. But thinking, for mental AND physical health, I’m going to try to go running once or twice a week for the foreseeable future.

If you’ve never gone out for a job, or if it has been a long time since you have, I’d recommend giving it another go.
